CLIMBERS Virtually Connect in Annual CLIMB Team Building Event

300+ A-LIGN CLIMBERS connected virtually for our annual summer training event, CLIMB 2020: ELEVATE. This event connects CLIMBERS from across the globe and ignites the momentum needed to help us elevate to the summit of our full potential.

With plans to host CLIMB in Chicago, A-LIGN had to adapt to the unforeseen circumstances brought by the pandemic and innovate to create a virtual experience.  The CLIMB team worked relentlessly to connect CLIMBERS and bring excitement to the comfort and safety of everyone’s homes, making our first virtual CLIMB a successful and engaging companywide event.

CLIMB-2020-Recap Blog

CLIMBERS prepared for their ascent to the summit by connecting through various engagement activities.

A-LIGN’s Virtual Fitness Challenge: The Trek to CLIMB 2020 had 75 CLIMBERS and 15 teams compete for first, second and third place prizes. During the eight-week competition, CLIMBERS logged 3,445 miles of walking, 460 hours at the gym, 346 hours of running and much more! The competition was ruthless with bi-weekly leaderboard updates, and CLIMBERS enjoyed it so much they are already training to beat the defending champions: Andrew Houshian, Dustin Rich, John Bowman and Gene Geiger.

CLIMBERS also used Yammer, A-LIGN’s internal social networking site, to stay connected and engage with each other. Using #CLIMBTogether, they connected virtually to share pictures of their favorite travel destinations, pets and A-LIGN throwback pictures. The executive team also shared a series of videos, uncovering a behind-the-scenes look into their unique hobbies, talents and interests. A spirit week wrapped up the countdown to CLIMB with themed days, including a Team Pride Day, a Hometown Throwdown, Crazy Hair/Hat Day, A-LIGN Swag Day and more!

Building a Forward-Facing Future: Training and Teambuilding

The two-day training event featured ways CLIMBERS can enhance their skills and ability to better help serve the needs of our clients to help them elevate to their summit. Topics covered general business updates, a teambuilding trivia activity and an in-depth look at how A-SCEND is transforming the audit process for our clients and elevating A-LIGN as a strategic privacy and compliance partner in the industry.

This year’s keynote speaker, Tony DiBenedetto, concluded the general session by sharing his personal story and experience about leading through adversity. Founder of Think Big for Kids, former CEO of Tribridge, and A-LIGN Board Member, Tony provided insight on how to be mindful and purposeful during times of change, lead with a steady hand and look for ways to collaborate together.
