A-LIGN recently held its annual summer training, CLIMB 2018: FOCUS in Orlando, Florida. Every year, the A-LIGN team gathers for the training event which includes teambuilding, training, and more.
“Every year, we look forward to CLIMB as an opportunity to enhance our relationships with our growing team, to optimize our ability to service our clients, and to foster a sense of community amongst our team,” said Scott Price, Chief Executive Officer at A-LIGN.
The FOCUS: Build a Stronger Community
This year, the A-LIGN team participated in a philanthropic activity benefiting the organization Summer of Dreams. Since 2011, Summer of Dreams has impacted the lives of more than 9,000 homeless children by providing them with food, academic activities, field trips, tutoring and mentoring, and school supplies.
The A-LIGN team donated supplies to fill 250 backpacks for Summer of Dreams students and spent part of the day writing them encouraging messages for the upcoming school year and filling the new backpacks with the necessary supplies.
“I was grateful that the A-LIGN team had the opportunity to work together to give back to the community, and to hear firsthand stories from the children that have benefited from Summer of Dreams in the past,” said Deirdre Smith, Manager of Quality and Training.
“We provide our employees with an annual community service day to use volunteering with the organizations that mean the most to them, but it is important to come together to give back to the community as well,” Price continued. “A-LIGN looks forward to continuing to promote a culture of community and we look forward to continuing to give back to the community year after year.”
The FOCUS: Train Our Team to Better Assist Our Clients
In addition to the charity event, the A-LIGN team spent time in training to enhance our ability to service clients. Topics covered included the upcoming changes to SOC 2, the privacy landscape, as well as the new services that A-LIGN is offering to help its clients meet all their compliance, cyber risk and privacy, and cybersecurity needs.
“We have worked to enhance all of our service offerings across the last year. Our cyber risk services have been bolstered with the additions of enterprise-level services, such as the compliance program assessment, third-party risk management, and enterprise-wide risk management services,” said Gene Geiger, President. “Additionally, our cybersecurity services have added new options for penetration testing, such as automated and subscription-based penetration testing services. These changes allow us to become a single provider for our clients across all of their needs.”
