VP of Demand Generation

As VP of Demand Gen, you’re going to lead a fast growing-team of demand generation marketers to drive aggressive pipeline targets across both new logos and our existing client base. You will build upon our foundational inbound marketing engine by adding and scaling out a suite of outbound marketing functions, including events, ABM, webinars, field marketing, channels, and more. You’ll design compelling marketing programs that help us expand from our SMB and mid-market base up into small and large enterprise. This is a high profile position that will play a critical role leading us through our upcoming growth phase.

REPORTS TO: SVP of Marketing



  • Create the vision and plan for generating demand by developing high-impact lead generation campaigns across multiple channels to achieve aggressive growth targets
  • Manage and expand a team of experienced demand generation professionals responsible for our portfolio of programs across all channels
  • Optimize our existing inbound marketing engine focused on PPC, SEM, SEO, email, and referrals
  • Expand our outbound marketing engine through events, ABM, webinars, field marketing, partner marketing, content syndication, and other programs
  • Mature our lead nurturing program with our BDR team using cadences, email, phone calls, and retargeting
  • Develop a suite of customer marketing programs to drive up-sell & cross-sell
  • Develop a customer community program with potential for an annual customer event
  • Partner closely with sales to ensure alignment on strategy, resources, messaging, and KPIs
  • Partner with revenue ops to develop and track comprehensive metrics and advise on the effectiveness and future direction of our lead generation marketing campaigns and spending
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members on effective demand gen tactics and approaches
  • Serve as a mentor across the entire marketing team as we scale up and grow
  • Select vendors, technologies, and partners to hit team goals
  • Define and manage multi-million-dollar budget for programs and events



  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • Master degree is a plus


  • 8+ years of marketing experience, 5+ specific to demand generation
  • 3+ years of marketing experience in the IT or cybersecurity space


  • Strong leadership skills, proven ability to build, motivate, and lead team to achieve results
  • Ability to carry individual contributor workload in additional to leadership responsibilities; this role will be a player-coach model
  • Proven success in launching and successfully running B2B demand gen marketing programs
  • Experience using Salesforce and marketing automation to generate, capture, nurture, track and report on leads, conversions, and ROI
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills – must have the ability to analyze and derive meaning from data which you will then translate into actionable changes
  • Excellent writing, communication, time management, and project management skills
  • Experience with budgeting, SEO/SEM, sponsorships, channels, and field marketing
