BDR Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE 

A-LIGN is looking for a passionate BDR Manager to develop and manage our growing BDR team. You will be responsible for driving sales execution and performance across the team, working primarily in the SMB and mid-market across both inbound and outbound programs. You will build out the team, measure BDR performance, monitor & coach daily activity such as calls & emails, implement optimizations, and work across both sales and marketing organizations to develop and hand-off high-quality opportunities. This is a high-impact role that’s critical to the company as we expand our go-to-market engine and rapidly grow top-line bookings. This role reports into the SVP of Marketing, and is closely aligned with Sales Leadership to provide career growth and a strong sales culture for BDRs. 

REPORTS TO: SVP of Marketing 

PAY CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Exempt  

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Organize and plan day-to-day strategies to motivate, coach, and counsel BDRs 
  • Ensure and promote a team-based environment which delivers best-in-class lead generation results 
  • Monitor/analyze BDR performance and take accountability for driving improvements in lead generation, program growth, sales productivity and opportunity quality 
  • Develop short and long-term strategies to enhance performance including technology needs, workflow design, commissions/bonuses, contests, leadership development, training needs, and quality programs 
  • Align with Sales leaders to enable communication and support BDR career development 
  • Work hand-in-hand with the demand generation team to create and optimize marketing campaigns 
  • Own the CRM process for BDRs and recommend process improvements and optimizations 
  • Address performance issues and provide ongoing and corrective feedback in a timely and constructive manner 
  • Deliver regular reports of KPIs to directors across the business 
  • Coach and provide career development guidance to BDRs through performance management metrics and evaluations  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred 

EXPERIENCE 

  • Extensive lead generation and sales development experience in a high-paced sales environment 
  • Proven track record in B2B sales into SMB and mid-market companies 
  • Experience with data analysis and making data-driven leadership decisions 
  • Proficiency with CRM applications (Salesforce preferred)
